Thank you for your interest in applying to the University Internship Programs (UIP).
THE APPLICATION & INTERVIEW PERIOD:
Due to application volume, UIP has extended the initial application and interviewing deadlines for all internships except for the Dublin program and other Summer To-Go programs.
In order to be considered for admission to the UIP you must complete the application below and then complete an interview with a UIP representative. You will have the opportunity to select an interview time when you submit your completed application. Available times are released on a first-come, first served basis.
Intern and internship matching will continue until the ADD/DROP deadlines for the 8-week Summer Session and upcoming Fall and Spring Semesters.
Please complete and submit your application and schedule an interview now.
Please read the instructions below before completing your online UIP application.
INFORMATION and INSTRUCTIONS
Type all information directly into your application. Please DO NOT copy/cut and paste information into the application from another document, or from elsewhere within the application form. Embedded coding in the copy/cut and paste process will cause problems with your ability to submit and print your application information. Also, please navigate within the application form by either moving your cursor from place to place, or using the tab key. Please DO NOT use your return key.
Please preview the application before you begin. If you preview the application and give some preliminary thought to the instructions below, completion of the application should take about 45 to 60 minutes.
You will be able to "Save Information and Complete Application Later." Please see button at the very end of the application. However, you will NOT be able to schedule an internship interview until you have completed and submitted your application. There are a limited number of interviews that can be scheduled during the alloted time period. Available times will be released on a first-come, first-served basis. If you wait to submit your application, you risk the possibility of being shut out because there may be more late submissions than interview slots available. Therefore, it is in your best interest to submit your application as soon as possible.
Selected sections of your application will be shared with prospective internship organizations and supervisors. Therefore, please respond to all questions thoughtfully and completely. Your application should be free of typographical, spelling, grammatical, punctuation, capitalization, and other writing errors.
In part XIV you will be asked about your expected internship outcomes and anticipated post-graduation plans. Your response will assist us in determining the appropriate internship match for you, and will serve as your writing sample for evaluation by UIP faculty, staff, and prospective internship site supervisors.
You will be asked to indicate specific internship topics / subject matter areas in which you are interested from a pull-down menu. You can preview the pull-down menu of internship areas in part XV of the application below.
You will be asked to express a preference for internships in which you are interested from the Online UIP Internship Listing. UIP internships and organizations can be previewed by clicking on the "Online UIP Internship Listing" link in part XVI of the application below.
You may serve in 2 internships during 2017-18 by combining the UIP Academic Year Internship Program option with any of the UIP Summer Session Internship Program options. If you are interested in participating in a summer and academic year internship, you need to complete only 1 application.
After you have submitted your application you will receive access to the interview scheduler and an acknowledgment message. PRINT this acknowledgement for your reference and use.
